Austistica created a new Communications Manager position because this area was absolutely key for the future development of the organisation. As a medical research charity, they are the bridge between the research community and families affected by autism, so being able to effectively engage both groups is incredibly important to them. Communications is also vital to maximise their fundraising potential, as Austistica receives no government funding and rely entirely on donations to fund their services.
“Flow Caritas understood us extremely well and only put forward candidates that really suited our particular needs; those who were able to communicate sensitively about disability issues and translate complex medical research into everyday language, for instance. As a plus, Flow Caritas are always super professional and personable, something I really appreciate. Our new Communications Manager has hit the ground running and have settled in very well. We’re really happy with how things have turned out, and are confident we’ve hired the right person!”
