Rory is the founder and director of Flow Caritas and started his career in recruitment in 1995. He set up Flow Caritas because he wanted to use his considerable experience in a sector which he is really passionate about. Rory has over 12 years experience recruiting in the charity sector throughout the UK and he's built a team that he is really proud of.
A Secret: Rory used to play in a Samba band and performed at the Millennium Dome on New Years Eve 1999/2000 in front of the Queen and Tony Blair, dressed in purple lycra and feathers.
Austen heads up the finance function at Flow Caritas working with the management team to view overall performance and drive the business strategy. He has been working in the financial sector for over 10years and provides the team with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
A Secret: At the weekends Austen can be found wandering around London in his spandex training for his next triathlon.
Hayley oversees the marketing at Flow Caritas working with creative agencies to develop and execute the marketing strategy in order to meet the businesses objectives. She has spent the last 10 years working in the retail and hospitality industries.
A Secret: Hayley loves hula hooping and regularly attends hooping workshops and events.
Paul manages the permanent recruitment team and looks after our senior level recruitment from fundraising managers to CEO's. He worked his way up from charity shop manager to director of fundraising in just a few years. Paul is founder and trustee of waste reduction charity ScrapstoresUK and consults for a number of small-medium charities.
A secret: A keen environmentalist, once a month Paul dons a set of overalls and travels to his local chip shop to collect their waste oil to use as a low-carbon biofuel in his car.
Alex works on the permanent desk as a senior consultant and has been with Flow Caritas for over 3 years. He has a keen interest in the sector and has set up a charity called Basic Foundations which provides basic infrastructure to organisations in the around the world and has raised over £20,000 so far.
A secret: Alex likes hats, has a collection of over 50 and is often to be seen arriving at work in a bowler
Amina has a huge amount of fundraising experience having worked in the charity sector and arts in the UK and overseas before joining us. Amina now works as a consultant with the permanent team and is utilising her understanding of the sector to place candidates with our charity clients.
A secret: it is so secret that we are still trying to find out what it is.
Shena is from the wild's of Canada and has lived in the UK for over 4 years. We actually placed her in her last job and she so loved the way we worked that she joined us this year. Shena looks after temporary office vacancies and junior permanent roles.
A secret: Shena has a huge collection of Archie Comics!! (apparently massive in Canada).
Sophie manages the temporary desk looking after the face-to-face clients and other temporary business. Sophie started as a temp, Flow Caritas quickly recognised her amazing skills and snapped her up.
A secret: Sophie is actually a gold medallist runner and used to run with her local borough.
Olivia works as a consultant on the temporary desk recruiting for the face-to-face campaigns across the UK. She began her career in the charity sector working as a fundraiser and quickly progressed due to her ability to work hard under pressure and her understanding of the sector.
A secret: Olivia's great uncle is in fact Clarence from It's a Wonderful Life.
Nicola is originally from Liverpool and spent a couple of years before joining us working in Australia as a fundraiser. Nicola is based at our Manchester office and responsible for our clients in the North of England. Nicola has an arts background and her creative passion is evident when helping our clients and candidates.
A secret: Nicola used to be the chess champion for her county but her love of Red Bull means that she can no longer sit still long enough to play!
Francesca works on the temporary desk looking after the door-to-door recruitment. She has previously worked in hospitality and as a door-to-door fundraiser which helps her identify and place the most suitable candidates.
A secret: She's secretly an artist and enjoys attending various weird and wonderful events in London
Joe travels around the UK coordinating the face-to-face street recruitment in order to source new candidates and build the fundraising teams. He has spent the last 2 years working in the charity sector and has an in-depth understanding of what makes a great fundraiser.
A secret: Joe is bilingual and spent 3 years teaching English in South America
Anjali helps the temporary desk team recruiting for face-to-face fundraisers across the UK. She began her career in the charity sector 3 years ago whilst studying at University and working as a face-to-face fundraiser. Her past experience means that she is able to distinguish the factors that make for a successful street fundraiser.
A secret: Since getting married last year Anjali has been wearing 68 bangles which she'll keep on for a year.
