Business Co-ordinator (homeless charity)

My client is an amazing organisation providing support to help get homeless people back on their feet and develop some sort of stability. Based in SE London, they are looking for someone who can run their site which concists of a warehouse and retail site for second hand furniture downstairs and living accommodation for the clients upstairs. The organisation take charitable donations of second hand furniture and sell those products to the local community and the whole business is staffed by ex-homeless people. They stay at the site for as long as they feel is necessary to get back on their feet and the organisation provides a sense of stability and security for them.

They are looking for someone with good business skills, able to manage staff many who have considerable personal problem and work with other members of the senior management team to ensure delivery of the organisations objectives. This may suit someone with retail management experience, but really anyone with good business skills, an effective manager and passionate about the plight of homeless people, may be suitable.

Job essentials -

- you need to be based in South East London within 20 mins from the site - you must be able to drive a van - the hours are 8.30 until 5.00 Mon to Fri and one Saturday a month with time off in lieu
